NASA has begun flight tests of an all-electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) air taxi. If successful, the United States will begin to build a large-scale network.
As informs UAINFO.org with reference to “Apostrophe”, the space agency reports on this on the official website.
Air Taxi Joby is capable of speeds up to 320 kilometers per hour and covers up to 240 kilometers on a single charge. According to the manufacturer, the aircraft produces virtually no noise, and its engines and propellers are 100 times quieter than the average helicopter.
The Joby test flights are part of the national air transport expansion program. If successful, the United States will begin to build a large-scale network of air taxi, flying ambulances and cargo drones.
