Russia has banned nearly 50 members of major British media from entering the country

Russia has banned dozens of British journalists, members of the media and the defense industry from entering the country, the Russian Foreign Ministry said today, quoted by Reuters.

With this move, which Moscow says is a reciprocal response to Western sanctions and pressure on its state media abroad, 29 journalists and members of British media organizations such as the BBC, Sky News and the Guardian and Times it is forbidden to enter Russia by name.

More than a dozen British figures, who Moscow says are linked to the defense industry, have also been denied access to Russia. TASS clarified that the statement of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs instructs 49 representatives of major British media, the army command and the military-industrial complex to enter Russia. Among those on the “black list” are the commanders of the British Navy and Air Force.
