On December 8, 2021, Moscow will host the International Scientific Conference “Holy Wives of the Slavic World”, timed to coincide with the 1100th anniversary of the martyrdom of Saint Ludmila of Czech.

Problem field of the conference:

* holy wives in the history and culture of the Slavic peoples;

* veneration of holy wives within the framework of the history of the Ecumenical Church and Local Orthodox Churches;

* images of holy women in hagiography and literature;

* images of holy women in hymnography and liturgical texts;

* images of holy wives in art, music and cinema;

* the role of holy wives in the context of intercultural dialogue of Slavic countries and peoples.

The conference will be held at the Center for Slavic Cultures of the VGBIL named after M.I. Rudominov in a mixed format (full-time and remote participation) on December 8, 2021 from 16.30 to 19.30 Moscow time.

Working languages ​​of the conference: Russian, English, Czech, Serbian.
