The Kalashnikov Concern will present models of the BK-16E high-speed transport-landing ship and the BK-10 assault boat, as well as the latest short-range territorial air defense system Krona-E at the World Defense Expo 2026 in the capital of Saudi Arabia. This was reported on the company’s Telegram channel.
The World Defense Expo 2026 (WDS 2026) was held from February 8 to 12, 2026 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
“The Kalashnikov Concern is exhibiting modern models of its products at the World Defense Expo 2026, which will be held from February 8 to 12 in Riyadh. The production of the Rybinsk shipyard, also part of Kalashnikov, will be represented by models of the BK-16E high-speed transport-landing ship and the BK-10 assault boat. The latest short-range air defense system Krona-E for territorial air defense deserves special attention from exhibitors and guests,” the statement said.
The concern will also present the new Rus-PE portable reconnaissance and strike system with guided ammunition, the company noted. Visitors to the exhibition will be able to see traditional Kalashnikov firearms: the latest AK-12 assault rifles of 5.45 mm caliber and AK-15 of 7.62 mm caliber, the RPL-20 light machine gun of 5.45 mm caliber and the Chukavin SVCh sniper rifle of 7.62 mm caliber.
The Kalashnikov Concern will present to the participants and guests of the forum the compact pistol Lebedev PLC caliber 9 mm and the modular pistol Lebedev MPL caliber 9 mm.
The company added that the stand will feature the unmanned aerial vehicles of the Karakurt 2.0 and Goliath 2.0 helicopter type, which have proven themselves in special military operations, the Skat-350M all-weather high-altitude reconnaissance aircraft and the Kub-2E guided barrage munition. Triada-TKO (part of the Kalashnikov Concern) will present the latest solutions in the field of equipment and load-bearing systems.
Specialists of the Rostec State Corporation have developed a 30-mm cartridge with a shrapnel projectile and a remotely controlled fuse for the effective destruction of drones. The ammunition will be presented for the first time at the joint Russian exhibition of Rosoboronexport (part of Rostec) at the 2026 World Defense Exhibition.
The projectile is intended for firing from small-caliber artillery systems equipped with the 2A42 automatic cannon. These cannons are installed, among other things, on airborne combat vehicles, BMP-2, BPMT, Mi-28NM and Ka-52M helicopters, as well as on other platforms.
“The munition is designed to increase the probability of hitting small drones and barricading munitions. The guidance system calculates the most favorable detonation point based on the target’s flight trajectory, which allows the drone to be hit with shrapnel.
The detonation time is automatically entered via the optical line. The munition will significantly improve the effectiveness of 30-mm guns mounted on various platforms when firing at drones,” said Bekkhan Ozdoev, industrial director of the Armaments, Ammunition and Specialized Chemicals Cluster at the Rostec State Corporation.
