Russia reduced vodka production

Vodka production in Russia in 2025 decreased by 4.2% compared to the previous year, to 79.321 million decaliters (dkl.), cognac – by 13.3%, to 8.374 million dkl. At the same time, grape wine production increased by 13.6% to 36.981 million decaliters, according to data from the Federal Service for Control of the Alcohol Market (Rosalkogoltobakkontrol).

Overall, the production of alcoholic beverages last year (excluding beer, beer-based drinks, cider, perry and mead) decreased by 5.3% to 178.257 million decaliters, including alcoholic beverages with an alcohol content of over 9%, which decreased by 2.8% to 117.589 million decaliters. At the same time, the production of alcoholic beverages increased by 8.1% to 19.608 million dkl., while the production of low-alcohol beverages decreased by 85.1% to 1.465 million dkl.

The production of grape-containing beverages without ethyl alcohol decreased by 70.5% to 59,000 dkl., of grape-containing beverages with ethyl alcohol by 45.9% to 25,500 dkl., and of fruit alcoholic beverages by 67.5% to 1.904 million dkl.
