The Russian Ministry of Justice has added the “Peace to All” project (Friede Allen e.V.), created in Germany, to the register of “undesirable” organizations. The decision was made by the Prosecutor General’s Office on August 15, 2025, and the entry was made on September 17.
No official reasons were given for the decision. According to State Duma deputy Yana Lantratova, who had previously pushed for this measure, the organization disguises its activities as support for clergy, but in fact spreads “Western narratives about Russia as an aggressor,” discredits the Russian Orthodox Church, and “brings schism into the Orthodox world.” In Russia, an “undesirable organization” is a foreign or international structure that the authorities consider a threat to the constitutional order, security, or defense of the country. It is not allowed to operate on the territory of the Russian Federation, and citizens who help it are subject to fines or even criminal prosecution.
Mir Vsem stated that they are the first Orthodox organization in Russia recognized by the authorities as a threat to the constitutional order. “What does it mean legally to be an ‘undesirable organization’? The head of such an organization can be sentenced to imprisonment for up to six years. Each author of Mir Vsem is first fined, and in case of a repeat offense, imprisonment for up to four years. The same punishment also threatens for sharing (reposting) our articles and messages on social networks. However, we will continue our work, we will continue to profess the Gospel peace and speak about the value of human life, and, of course, we will support the anti-war confessors who suffered because of their position,” their statement said.
“Peace to All” was founded in 2023 by Archpriest Andrei Kordochkin, a former cleric of the Spanish-Portuguese Diocese of the MP, and like-minded people, to raise funds for the families of Russian priests who were persecuted by the secular and church authorities in Russia for their pastoral disagreement with the war, and thus were deprived of their means of existence.
