The Chivato or Delator is that individual who serves a specific ideological system to which the necessary gossip provides so that someone can be accused, in most cases, unfairly. This practice is commonly given in countries of enormous democratic loud.
In the Middle Ages, religious orders linked to the Inquisition tried to justify the arrest of women accused of witches, due to the gossip or alleged del one of relatives or neighbors. It never mattered if all this was false, there was only the need to perpetuate a state where fear was the currency.
In North Korea, it is known that any citizen is a chivato or potential dealer, and although he does not always obtain a benefit, the supreme leader of that country, he has told his regional or local subordinates that he always rewards those who transmits some kind of delation. It is betrayed by legal imperative. The subject is obliged to give away who is the offender, including the family.
A few years ago we attended a purge of citizens who protested in various fields of society. All those retaliated by the current government were located due to neighbors, sneaks and betrayers, who on this occasion if they obtained small contributions of food, tobacco or any other gift.
The Spanish Republic also generated her own structure of chivatos and betrayers, developing it in the purest communist style, with neighborhood controllers that should know everything about their convecinos. A little studied phenomenon that led hundreds of people to be relegated or imprisoned for their alleged ideas contrary to prevailing political ideology.
Against these manifestations of inculture and totalitarian sectarianism that only occurs in societies unable to generate a free and democratic state, no one can rebel. One assumes guilt and appech with punishment, even if this is burned in the bonfire.
That said, there is in one of the least democratic countries in the world: China, a network of sneaks or betrayers called Xinfang. This term could translate something like “messages and letters or visits and letters.” It would be like a curious and strange suggestion mailbox, but in this case of deletions or disputes (complaints), which has been developing in that country since the seventeenth century.
In the early years, said “suggestion or complaints mailbox” served to inform the authorities of certain issues related to neighbors and attitudes that worried the common of the community, so that these (the authorities) would solve said conflict.
