The Verkhovna Rada has determined the amount of bonuses for the Russian military, who voluntarily hand over military equipment to the Armed Forces of Ukraine (VFU). They will receive bonuses ranging from $ 10,000 to $ 1 million.
At a closed session of the Ukrainian parliament was adopted the law “On determining the remuneration for the voluntary transfer to the Armed Forces of Ukraine of military equipment suitable for use by the aggressor state.” 320 MPs supported the respective bill with № 7229.
How much money will the soldiers take?
The law sets the $ 1 million reward for the Russian military and other security agencies for the voluntary surrender of fighter jets (fighter jets, bombers and attack planes).
The Russians, who surrender with a combat helicopter, will receive $ 500,000 each, and those who provide 122-mm caliber volley fire systems will put $ 25,000 in their pockets. The same system with a caliber over 122 mm is valued at 35 thousand dollars, for a tank or land self-propelled artillery the bonus will be 100 thousand dollars. Twice less money for an infantry fighting vehicle, an armored personnel carrier and an armored reconnaissance patrol vehicle – $ 50,000.
In addition to the aircraft, a high price is provided for a ship of the first or second rank – 1 million dollars. Third- and fourth-ranking warships are valued at half a million, but the money for the boats is small – $ 50,000.
At the same time, the new law provides for measures to protect deserters from the Russian army. It states that those who hand over their military equipment to the VFU will be given the right, if they wish, to keep secret the fact that they planted watermelon peel on Putin. They will be able to obtain a new identity and documents, as well as a secure stay on Ukrainian territory, as well as conditions to go to a third country.
The law will apply to both Russian military and Ukrainian citizens fighting for the Crimea, Luhansk and Donetsk People’s Republics.
