Break the silence on persecuted Christians

0
MEP Bert-Jan Ruissen held a conference and exhibition at the European Parliament to denounce the silence surrounding the suffering of persecuted Christians worldwide. The EU must take stronger action against violations of freedom of religion, especially in Africa where lives are lost due to this silence.

The Institute for Internet Development, created with the support of the Presidential Administration, will soon begin a competition among game developers – developers will receive grants to create patriotic games about the Great Patriotic War/WWII, about famous intelligence officers and special forces. This is reported by the publication of Znak.

The amount of the grant is not specified – it will depend on the request of the contestant and after analyzing his business plan. It is planned to finance not only the developers of patriotic games, but also other producers of “national content in the digital environment.”

The competition is scheduled for February 2022 – the exact dates are not specified.

Deputy of the State Duma, Chairman of the Duma Committee on Information Policy, Communications and IT Alexander Khinshtein, in a column for “Kommersant”, said that “the political potential of video games cannot be ignored.” In his opinion, “a much more far-sighted step would be to promote real values through them – this is patriotism, interest in the history of the country, the ability to think independently and correctly assess the political situation.”

Khinshtein also noted that “in addition to financial assistance to domestic companies, the issue of legal regulation of the sector remains important”, “for this, laws must appear that meet the needs of the industry.”
