The new measures have already entered into force due to the record growth of patients
The requirement for a green church certificate emptied temples in Greece. The country announced more anti-epidemic measures ten days ago, which come into force today.
Under the new restrictions, unvaccinated people do not have access to indoor public spaces, such as restaurants, cinemas, museums and gyms, even if they test negative for coronavirus.
The measures will affect not only adults but also children between the ages of 4 and 17. They will be able to visit a number of closed rooms only in the presence of an adult and by presenting a negative home test taken in the last 24 hours.
The new measures are due to the registered growth of new cases. Greece registered a record daily increase in some of the days. From the beginning of the pandemic to Saturday, more than 920,000 people were identified with COVID-19 and almost 17,000 died.
Due to the high number of patients in northern Greece, doctors in private practice were mobilized.
