The $ 2 billion initiative announced at the Glasgow Climate Conference is part of a promise made earlier this year by Bezos to provide $ 10 billion by 2030 to combat climate change.
The Bezos Earth Fund plans to use $ 1 billion mainly in the United States and Africa to plant trees that will protect the earth from erosion and to rehabilitate areas with high levels of carbon dioxide.
The second billion will be used to transform agricultural systems so as to increase yields, reduce food waste and waste, and promote plant-based nutrition.
