This time the offer comes from the active region of Calabria in southern Italy, which will provide several new residents with a value of 28,000 euros a year for the year.
The program aims to attract new residents to small Italian villages, whose population is declining over the years. “The goal is to stimulate the local economy and breathe new life into small communities,” said regional councilor Gianlyca Gallo.
There are also some conditions for the participants in the program. In order to receive the funds, the new residents have to plan and start a small business or find a job in the area. There is also a restriction on rebates – you do not have to be over 40 years old.

The project works on the principle of “first come, first served”.
The project will start in the coming weeks, and the region has set aside more than 700,000 euros for funding. In addition, the region can provide one-time unpaid funds to help new residents start a hotel business.
So far, nine people from the whole of Calabria have been registered for participation in the program.
