“Radical sect” gathered in St. Petersburg to pray for Zelensky, 70 arrested

70 people who gathered end of December from all over Russia to pray for the health of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky were detained in St. Petersburg, Russian media wrote, defining the organization as a “radical sect.”

According to posts on social media, this organization was created in Ukraine, its founders “spoke about awakening consciousness, inner spiritual development, held seminars and lectures, at which they taught healing.”

But they also discussed the war, prayed for Zelensky and praised the Ukrainian armed forces.

One of the leaders of the “School of the Unified Principle” organization is Olga Dautova, a professor and doctor of pedagogical sciences from the St. Petersburg Academy of Postgraduate Pedagogical Education. (Supporting the AFU in Russia is a criminal offense.)

At the same time, the text of the prayer was also published:

“Archangel Michael, apostles of Christ and all the saints, protect Volodymyr Zelensky, his team and all the defenders of Ukraine. I protect your home: Kharkiv and Kharkiv region, Pokrovsk and district, Sumy and Sumy region, Kiev and Kiev region, Dnieper and Dnipropetrovsk region, Zaporizhia and Zaporizhia region, Kherson and Kherson region, Odessa and Odessa region, Kursk direction. Your country, Ukraine, in the circle of my prayers, protect it from fiery burning, predatory attack and all evil and fear. Amen.”
