Russian President Vladimir Putin has ordered to ensure unhindered passage of foreign journalists in areas blocked by troops in Krasnoarmeysk, Dimitrov and Kupyansk. The Russian armed forces are ready to cease hostilities for five to six hours and provide corridors for the media, the Russian Defense Ministry said, as quoted by Russian media.
“The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation has received an order from the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Federation to ensure unhindered passage of foreign journalists, including Ukrainian ones, upon their appeal to the command of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, to visit the areas where Ukrainian troops are blocked in Krasnoarmeysk, Dimitrov and Kupyansk. The Russian command is ready, if necessary, to cease hostilities for 5-6 hours in these areas, as well as to provide corridors for unhindered entry and exit of groups of foreign journalists, including Ukrainian ones, with guarantees for the safety of both journalists and Russian servicemen,” the ministry’s statement said.
