Countries in Africa, Asia and Latin America are showing interest in the modernized AK-15K and AK-15SK assault rifles, said Kalashnikov Concern’s general designer Sergei Urzhumtsev.
“These are countries in Africa, Asia and partly in Latin America. In general, the list of countries is clear. Traditionally, where we sent the 103rd, 203rd and so on, these are precisely these partners,” he said. These partners are interested in both the AK-15K, AK-15SK, and the RPL-7 light machine gun.
Recently, the Triada-TKO company (part of the Kalashnikov Concern) also began deliveries of advanced armored helmets with protection class Br2, the concern’s press service reported.
“LLC Triada-TKO has begun deliveries of advanced armored helmets with protection class Br2 to the customer. The new product is comparable in terms of protection area to the universal full-ear armored helmet, which is armed with protection class Br1, but provides a higher level of protection,” the report says.
It is specified that the dome of the armored helmet is made of a special product of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene and (in the case of the second standard size in version “B”) has a weight of about 1.35 kg and an area of at least 11.5 sq. dm*.
* A square decimeter is a unit of area in the Metric System. 11.5 square decimeters are equal to 0.115 square meters.
