The machines arrive in this form in Vladivostok with the ship “Sunny Rio”

Getting a new car in these times requires a lot of patience, because due to the lack of electronic components, customers are forced to wait for months. Sometimes, however, the delivery of a new car is not a very pleasant activity. At least that’s clear from the next video.

In this case, these vehicles docked at the port of Vladivostok (Russia) after being loaded in Busan (South Korea). All cars have the necessary chips and are completely ready, but their owners will have to wait a while.

And the reason is in the ruthless mother nature. Due to the extreme weather conditions during the trip to the largest Russian port in the Pacific Ocean, the cars are covered with a thick layer of ice.

“It’s December, the sea is stormy and windy, with water splashing on board and forming a crust. There is nothing scary, but this year the winds are stronger than usual. However, sailors are used to it, as has happened before. “We unloaded the cars and everything is fine,” the ship’s captain told Russian media.

Ironically, the ship is named Sun Rio (“Sunny Rio”), was built in Japan in 1991 and carries the flag of Panama, where annual temperatures range from 24 to 32 degrees. The ship has been in operation for 3 decades, and this winter it is on the route Vladivostok – Toyama – Busan.

As for the transported cars, these are only Japanese models – mostly Honda Fit / Jazz and Toyota Tank / Roomy. It is quite common for cars to be delivered in this condition, so sailors have to break the ice before being brought ashore. Everything available is used for this purpose – from reagents and hot water to the well-known levers.

And yes, cars do get damaged sometimes. This is clear from the second video, which shows the condition of the vehicles. Their unloading starts the next day, using a crane. By noon, several dozen cars were unloaded, which were covered with ice several centimeters thick.
