Hilversum, 5 December 2021 – During their fifth distribution campaign in Hilversum last Saturday, the volunteers of The Way To Happiness foundation ran into Saint Nicholas and Piet (note: companion of Saint Nicholas in the tradition of the Netherlands).

Saint Nicholas was pleased to receive a present himself and smilingly accepted the booklet The Way to Happiness, which is the most translated non-fiction, one author book, as per the Guinness World Records book.

Man does not live by bread alone: Books for the local Food Bank

The team of The Way to Happiness Holland handed out over 2,000 booklets last weekend in the city centre and in some of the neighbourhoods in Hilversum.

In addition to meeting Saint Nicholas, the team also talked to a volunteer from the local Food Bank (note: an organization that distributes surplus food to needy people). After flicking through the booklet, she became particularly interested and asked if it would be possible to receive a stack of booklets to give as a gift with the December food parcels. With her panniers filled to the brim with books, she continued on her way.

The booklet The Way to Happiness was written by L. Ron Hubbard. It contains 21 non-religious precepts for making the right choices in life. The foundation distributes the booklets to create a positive wave in these uncertain times. In Hilversum, 6,500 booklets have been handed out so far; the goal is to reach at least 20,000.
